Sir Peter Stothard is editor of the Times Literary Supplement, the leading international journal of literary criticism and ideas. From 1992 to 2002, he was editor of The Times of London and before that its U.S. Editor. His book, “Thirty Days: A Month at the Heart of Blair’s War,” was published in Britain, France and America in 2003. He writes on British and American politics and ancient history and literature for The Wall Street Journal and many other papers. He travels frequently to the United States and in 2004 spent time studying the religious influences of George W. Bush’s youth in Midland, Texas. He is an honorary fellow of Trinity College, Oxford, where he was a Greek and Latin scholar from 1969 to 1973. He was knighted in 2003 for services to the newspaper industry.
