RECKLESS KELLY'S 3-DISC CD/DVD
HITS STORES,
SINGLE CLIMBING THE CHARTS

Roots Rock Band Continues to Rock Across Texas
Behind 'Reckless Kelly Was Here'

Austin, TX -- RECKLESS KELLY WAS HERE (Sugar Hill Records, August 8), the highly anticipated live recording-plus video CD/DVD by rockers Reckless Kelly was released last week amid a flurry of parties and special gigs.

Even before the 3-disc combo CD/DVD's release, however, its first single, "Break My Heart Tonight," was charging up The Texas Music Chart and is still climbing. A broadcast special on the making of RECKLESS KELLY WAS HERE, produced by Austin's ME Television, local entertainment cable television channel, drew big numbers.

The night before the release of the new album, more than 150 guests attended a special DVD viewing party hosted at the new studios of ME Television that featured all the right ingredients for a historically memorable evening. The next day, the band played an in-store at nationally recognized and award-winning Waterloo Records & Video that set the stage for Reckless Kelly's album ranking as the store's top seller for the week.

Of the album, AllMusic.com says: "The mix is simply incredible... RECKLESS KELLY WAS HERE is a portrait of a band at their raw and woolly best, showcasing great songs... This is the finest offering from an utterly soulful and raucous country-rock band. They have songs, chops, and plenty of piss and vinegar to make you stomp around the crib shaking your fist in the air and attempting to do a drunken two-step."

Reckless Kelly hosted and performed the evening of August 8 at an In The Mix event given by the Texas Chapter of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences to support, cultivate and recognize Americana music becoming a new category of the annual Grammy Awards.

The band hits the highway to play shows at its favorite clubs and festivals as well as a series of in-store appearances at Hastings Books, Music & Video outlets across the state including San Marcos, College Station and Stephenville.

The Texas tour will feature stops at:
September 2: The Executive Surf Club, Corpus Christi
