Busy Summer Continues for Band
with Songs from Next Album, New Management

Austin, TX — Country-rock combo Reckless Kelly headlines the outdoor stage at Stubb’s in Austin late this month as it continues to debut new songs from its next album for eager fans and keeps up its heavy touring schedule.

Reckless Kelly plays Friday, August 24, at Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater, 801 Red River St. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $16 advance, $18 day of show (at all Front Gate Tickets outlets); information: 512.480.8341. No Justice from Oklahoma opens.

The hometown show comes on the heels of the Braun Brothers Reunion weekend/concert in Idaho, part of a recent cross-country tour that took Reckless Kelly to the Northwest and Southeast, where it played sold-out and SRO shows at such stops as Atlanta and Charlotte, N.C., and the release of AMERICANA MASTER SERIES: RECKLESS KELLY (Best of the Sugar Hill Years).

The band — lead singer-songwriter-guitarist Willy Braun, brother Cody Braun on fiddle, mandolin, harmonica and vocals, lead guitarist David Abeyta, bassist Jimmy McFeeley and drummer Jay Nazz — has just teamed with a new management company, Murphy to Manteo of North Carolina, whose work includes breaking Hootie and the Blowfish in the 1990s and country music sensation Jason Michael Carroll in 2006.

In 2008, Reckless Kelly will release its next album, which it’s been in the studio writing and recording. Upcoming tours include shows in Colorado, Missouri, Chicago, Nashville and Texas including an October 14 performance at Big State Festival in Bryan-College Station.
