RECKLESS KELLY’S 2nd ANNUAL WILD WEST MUSIC FEST
FATHER’S DAY TO FEATURE LOCAL LINE-UP

Family Affair Unites Muzzie, the Boys and the Community

Hailey, IDAHO — The area’s favorite musical family — Muzzie Braun and sons Willy, Cody, Micky and Gary — is on its way to Idaho and the Hailey Rodeo Grounds to kick off the summer with a bang and a twang (probably several of each) at its 2nd annual Wild West Music Fest, a community party on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 18, to feature Trio Pinto and of course, Muzzie Braun and the Boys, Reckless Kelly, and Micky and the Motorcars.

Gates open at noon; music starts at 1 p.m. Festivities continue until 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for children 12 and younger.

Last summer’s inaugural Wild West Music Fest was so successful, the Brauns want to make the family affair an annual affair, with a portion of this year’s proceeds going to The Wood River Fire and Rescue Association.

Lucky festival-goers will hear new and previously unheard material from new releases by the featured bands:

Trio Pinto — back from a recent European tour and armed with a new album, PARALLAX VIEW — will start the show, spearheaded by longtime Braun family friend Pinto Bennett and his cohorts Bill Parsons and Brett Dewey. A set of old favorites by Muzzie Braun and the Boys precedes Micky and the Motorcars. Reckless Kelly will close out the evening in spectacular fashion.

Reckless Kelly, in its only performances in Idaho until the annual Braun Brothers Reunion on August 11 in Challis, will perform songs from a DVD-plus-CD slated for release August 8, the aptly titled RECKLESS KELLY WAS HERE (North Carolina-based Sugar Hill Records). The band is enjoying quite a year, sharing stages with the likes of Willie Nelson and Dwight Yoakum, their music videos being featured on CMT and GAC, being tapped for soundtracks, commercials, record producing and studio session. The award-winning band was ranked in the Top 10 Americana releases for 2005.

Americana front-runners Micky and the Motorcars will showcase its new May 9 release, CARELESS, which features 12 tracks including the first single, “Carolina Morning,” written by Bennett.

Tickets are available only on the day of the show. Lawn chairs, blankets and sunscreen are welcome; dogs and coolers are not.
