DVD OF ‘RIVER’S END,’
PUMPJACK’S FAMILY/ADVENTURE FILM,
HITS STORE SHELVES TODAY

Austin, TX — The DVD of Texas-based Pumpjack Entertainment’s acclaimed family/adventure drama “River’s End” hits retail shelves nationwide today, starting with the country’s largest seller of DVDs.

“River’s End,” the classic story of an angry teenager put back on the right path by his grandfather and a quest through the wilderness, won a Gold Remi at the 2005 WorldFest International Film Festival in Houston.

Sam Huntington (“Superman Returns,” “Fanboys”) plays a bitter young man haunted by the death of his father who can’t stay out of trouble, and Barry Corbin (“One Tree Hill,” “Northern Exposure”) plays a local sheriff who forces his grandson to choose between going to jail or successfully navigating by canoe 60 miles of the rugged and perilous Pecos River.

“River’s End” was shot in remote parts of Central and West Texas and came from the heart and mind of storyteller Glen Stephens, who wrote and co-directed the film based on his own rich experiences on the river. He has written four motion pictures and recently published his first novel, “Amarillo by Morning.”
