COUNTRY SINGER KING CONE
TOURING TEXAS IN SUPPORT OF NEW ALBUM, GALLERY
AUSTIN, Texas — Twenty-four-year-old Texas-born country singer and recent graduate of the University of Texas in Austin, is touring the Lone Star State behind his recent release, GALLERY (C - 1 Group Limited, September 12).
Among the prolific songwriter’s upcoming gigs are a UT-OU pre-game party at Ozonoa’s Grill in Dallas on October 5, a chili cook-off at Bass Pro Shop in Grapevine on October 11 and a live taping at Dallas’ Green Elephant on November 4 — each a chance to see and hear what fans are eating up: Cone’s smart way with words and music.
Released to radio on September 1 was the first single from GALLERY, Cone’s catchy love song “Go with Me,” which features plenty of spunky and funky lead guitar and snappy percussion along with a lyric that echoes the question a woman wants to hear a man ask. The video, shot at Poor David’s Pub in Dallas, is available at www.kingcone.com along with tour dates and more.
Robert K. Oermann says in the September 29 issue of Music Row magazine that “Go with Me” has “a slightly jazzy vibe that’s refreshingly different. Send more.”
Two more of the 10 songs on GALLERY written or co-written by Cone are “Through Your Door” and “Here Comes Your Heartache,” both of which reflect his exuberance about love and leaving.
Cone is scheduled to play shows through the end of the year in most cities across the state in support of the new recording and plans to visit radio stations along the way.
