COUNTRY SINGER KING CONE
RELEASES 1st SINGLE, ‘GO WITH ME,’
TO TEXAS RADIO SEPTEMBER 1
Plays Austin Gig the Next Day to Mark UT Season Opener
AUSTIN, Texas — The smart and romantic “Go with Me,” the first single from the new record by Texas-born country singer King Cone, goes out to radio on September 1, with the new album, GALLERY (C – 1 Group Limited; street date: Sept. 12, 2006), hitting stores two weeks later.
One day after the single’s release, on September 2, Cone and his band travel to Austin for a University of Texas Post Game Party at Saxon Pub, 1320 S. Lamar Blvd., 512.448.2552. The show starts at 11 p.m.; cover is $10. UT plays the Mean Green of The University of North Texas. Cone is a December 2004 graduate of UT.
The catchy love song “Go with Me” penned by Cone features plenty of spunky and funky lead guitar and snappy percussion along with a lyric that echoes the eternal question a man asks a woman and the philosophical wonderings of every human. The video, shot at Poor David’s Pub in Dallas, where Cone lives, is available at www.kingcone.com.
Cone is scheduled to play shows through the end of the year in most cities across the state in support of the new recording and plans to visit radio stations along the way.
