JESSE AND NOAH’S 2ND SINGLE RELEASED
AHEAD OF DEBUT ALBUM, ‘NOWHERE REVISITED’
Country Rock Band’s ‘Wild and Willin’ Draws Oermann’s Praise
AUSTIN, Texas — Country-rock band Jesse and Noah’s second single, the rambunctious “Wild and Willin’,” was released to radio March 5 by Smith Entertainment ahead of the April 10 street date of the band’s debut album, NOWHERE REVISITED, and has already gotten the attention of Music Row’s Robert Oermann.
In fact, Oermann named the band “Discovery of the Week” DisCovery Award winners in this week’s Music Row magazine as he reviewed the new single, saying, “David Bellamy’s sons evidently know how to find a hooky song as well as he does.”
Jesse and Noah Bellamy are the eldest sons of David Bellamy of The Bellamy Brothers, but the music they make — trading tight harmonies and solid guitar work in songs with smart, storytelling lyrics — is distinctly their own.
The band plays a show later this month — at 9 p.m. Friday, March 30, at The Horseman Club in Fort Worth, 4750 Bryant Irvin Road (information: 817.361.6161) — to showcase “Wild and Willin’ and other cuts from NOWHERE REVISITED including the first single released to radio, “Daddy’s Got a Shotgun,” which got the band on The Texas Music Chart’s Top 50 of 2006. Backing Jesse and Noah will be Glen Rogers on keyboards, John Laird on bass and Brad Swiger on drums.
Jesse and Noah found they have an affinity for Texas music, one that could date back to The Bellamy Brothers touring the Lone Star State and their father returning to the ranch with albums by Texas artists — or while they toured the state as front men of an early band. Back in the home studio on the family’s Florida cattle ranch, the brothers work constantly, recording and even stopping to demo while they write so they can tweak and refine the music. What has evolved are Jesse’s vocal ability and songwriting talents and Noah’s engineering and guitar skills and an instrumental repertoire that includes electric and acoustic guitars, percussion, bass, mandolin, keyboards, Dobro and banjo.
Interview times are available as well as press kits and review CDs.
