THE GINN SISTERS ON ‘MOUNTAIN STAGE’
TO AIR DEC. 10; SHOW ONLINE DEC.15-22

AUSTIN, Texas — The Ginn Sisters’ appearance on the renowned “Mountain Stage” public radio show will air during a two-hour show to be broadcast on 100 national and international stations at 3 p.m. EST, Sunday, December 10. The show will be available online December 15-22 at www.mountainstage.org.

The harmony-driven Americana sister band, led by the exceptional talents of Texas Hill Country sisters Tiffani and Brit Ginn (pronounced with a hard G), performed a set from its second album, BLOOD ORANGES (Sweetbird Records, June 27), September 24 at the Bluefield (W.Va.) Performing Arts Center. The show also featured songwriter Dan Penn, world beat band Railroad Earth, country-rock singer-songwriter Chris Knight and “Western soul” band Hacienda Brothers.

The band — given its signature sound by Tiffani’s vocals and guitar and Brit’s vocals, flute and melodica — recently completed a successful tour of the Northeast, including dates in Boston and New York City. It took Nashville by storm, too, with a special showcase for Country Weekly magazine and a performance on “Americana Tonight.”

And No Depression magazine said in its September-October issue, “Tiffani and Brit Ginn have had a lifetime together to perfect their head-spinning harmonizing, and it’s been time well spent. Born 13 months apart, the Texas sisters are confident, soulful vocalists who sing every song like their family’s honor depended on it.”
