CROONERS BIG BLUE HEARTS
JOIN HOOTIE & THE BLOWFISH AND COLLECTIVE SOUL
FOR ÎHOLIDAY AT THE HARD ROCKâ EVENT

Big Blueâs Single, ÎLovinâ You,â Riding Texas Music Chart

(Austin, Texas) ÷ The harmony-driven roots-rock quartet Big Blue Hearts plays on a bill with Hootie & the Blowfish and Collective Soul next week in Dallas as part of Mix 102.9 KDMX-FMâs fourth ãHoliday at the Hard Rockä charity fund-raiser.

Big Blue Hearts plays Dallasâ Hard Rock CafŽ, 2601 McKinney Ave., at 7 p.m. Thursday, December 15, as part of an all-acoustic show with Hootie & the Blowfish and Collective Soul. Tickets: through Mix 102.9; call 214.855.0007 for more information. The ãHoliday at the Hard Rockä event benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas.

Big Blue Hearts plays Dallas again 8 p.m. Thursday, December 29, with a show at Firewater Bar & Grill, 10261 Technology Blvd. Information: 214.352.5700.

Big Blue Hearts is frontman David Fisher on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Scott Minchk on lead guitar and vocals, J.B. Burton on bass and vocals, and Greg Sobol on drums and vocals. The band, which recently relocated to Austin, has been touring continuously behind its latest album, HERE COME THOSE DREAMS AGAIN, since its release in August.

The first single from DREAMS, ãLovinâ You,ä continues to climb on The Texas Music Chart, hitting #13 on the most recent December 5 chart, and a video of the cut can be found on the ãNew Voices No Coverä feature at the Country Music Television Web site, CMT.com.

Fifties iconoclastic musical influences on Big Blue Heartsâ David Fisher ÷ Elvis, The Everly Brothers and Roy Orbison ÷ fuel his confident baritone, giving the band a sound thatâs been called ãnew, fresh and totally addicting.ä The Washington Post recognized early on his style of ãsad-but-stoic balladsä and called his renditions ãvelvetyä.

ãRockabilly, vintage rock and creamy three-part harmonies meet in [Big Blue Heartsâ] · exceptional,ä says USA Today. Variety describes the foursome as ãcharismatic and engaging, familiar without being derivative, supported by crafty songwriting and bound by an honesty that projects from the stage to the last row of the venue.ä
