(Austin, Texas) ÷ Big Blue Hearts brings its romantic vintage sound to Austinâs Saxon Pub for two shows following local fave Bob Schneider in late January.

The band, which recently relocated to Austin, plays at 11 p.m. on two consecutive Monday nights ÷ January 23 and January 30 ÷ at Austinâs Saxon Pub, 1320 S. Lamar Blvd., where the oversized suit of armor marks the spot of one of Austinâs best acoustic listening venues. Cover each night is $8; information: 512.448.2552.

Right now, Big Blue Heartsâ ãLovinâ You,ä the first single from the bandâs HERE COME THOSE DREAMS AGAIN (Eagle Eye Records, August 2005), is climbing The Texas Music Chart, reaching #9 on the most recent December chart. Frontman David Fisher takes the lead with dreamy vocals that conjure up the likes of Chris Isaak, Dwight Yoakum, Roy Orbison and Buddy Holly. The other members of the foursome are Scott Minchk on lead guitar and vocals, J.B. Burton on bass and vocals, and Greg Sobol on drums and vocals.
