SWEET & SASSY DEBUT ALBUM,
‘SUGARCANE,’ ON JUNE 12

Singer-Keyboardist (and Radio Personality) Brings Bright, Fresh Insight with First Single

AUSTIN, Texas — Country-pop artist Autumn today releases her debut record, SUGARCANE (Crystal Clear Distribution). She’ll spend the summer on a radio promotion tour across Texas and Oklahoma and playing shows with noted Texas songwriter/producer Walt Wilkins and his new band, The Mystiqueros.

Autumn’s first single to be released to radio, also today, “Don’t Make Me Do It,” reveals a playful personality and soulful vocals peppered with a touch of classic country swing provided by steel guitar master Lloyd Maines. She considers the song and its strong lyrical content and good vibe, co-written by the celebrated songwriter Walter Hyatt and Wilkins, one of her favorites.

The album, produced by Wilkins and Tim Lorsch with musical support shown by other Texas greats, also features “Get a Little High” and the title track, the reggae beat-driven “Sugarcane,” whose single will be released to radio in the fall along with the video, which includes Autumn’s three siblings working in front of and behind the camera.

Six of the handpicked tracks on the beautiful, poignant and seductive SUGARCANE were written or co-written by Autumn. The other cuts are her unique take on gems penned by Robbie Williams, Patty Griffin, Bruce Robison, Hyatt and Wilkins. It is already winning praise including from RARE Austin: “… a bit bluesy and definitely in a class of her own … a talent to be reckoned with.”

Meanwhile, Autumn continues her role as on-air personality/sidekick on the popular “JB & Sandy” weekday morning radio show on Austin’s MIX 94.7. At the show’s annual Beach Party this past weekend (featuring Matt Kearney and OK Go), Autumn and her keys filled the musical slot left vacant by British pop singer Lily Allen and played a well-received solo set.

In addition, Autumn will serve as a spokeswoman for The Fairy Godmother Foundation, an organization that provides special-occasion wear for special girls. She will headline a benefit and fashion show later this summer.
